Gallery Faux Finishing Decorative Painting Paper Hanging From the Studio Furniture & Cabinetry

The definition of faux finishing is the rendering of things found in nature: marble, wood, granite, leather, etc. Venetian plaster is considered by some Masters to be a faux finish as it is a process that was meant to replicate marble. Every faux finish is a build-up of appplications that require a lot of time and skill. Applying a faux finish enhances architectural accents where the real element may be cost prohibitive, unavailable or impractical. Wood graining with "trompe l'oeil" panelling can transform walls and doors into an 18th century library. Marbleized columns offer a timeless accent of solidity. Architects and designers rely on faux finishing to recreate these beautiful and timeless design elements.

Pricing
Pricing varies greatly on the intricacy of the marble or wood grain placement. For example, a pair of columns can start at $1000 depending on the marble you choose and the condition of the column. A sample board can be included in the cost of the contract for your preapproval. For accurate pricing, we suggest you call for a proposal appointment.

Faux painting to match real material: Privacy wall cap was painted to match the marble on the tub deck. Walls were striped and glazed in gloss.

Testimonials

Just a quick note to thank you so much for the wonderful job you did in my living room and dining room and hall. I appreciate all the help you gave me in picking colors and making some changes from the same old ordinary colors I was used to.

Over the past 15 years, you have been so helpful also in my bathroom and kitchen (which you've done twice for me).

Your perfectionism is greatly appreciated.

I have also referred you to many of my friends who are also very pleased with your work.

I had card club at my house last evening and was telling all the girls about how you caulk, double paint everything and are so helpful with ideas. Don't be surprised if you get some calls for your expert help.

Thanks again for a superior job and I look forward to seeing you again in the future.

Janie,

I can only tell you that I almost cried when I placed the switch plates against the tile in my kitchen. The finish on the plates is absolutely fantastic! I love it.

I have told Joan that "the details mean everything to me"... and you lived up to my every expectation.

Thank you so very much for all the work you did on my remodel.
